General conference, a puzzle, and a fall drive

Our tradition at General Conference time is to work on a puzzle as we listen. We usually pick an Eric Dowdle puzzle--we love his artwork. This year we picked up one entitled Joseph and Hyrum. It is a great way to engage in something that is not distracting from listening to all the talks. Was it just me or was conference especially good this time? If you missed it, or would like to know what was said, you can find it at http://www.lds.org/ Overall themes seemed to focus on faith, gratitude, addiction, and parenting. An attitude of gratitude by President Monson was one of my favorites. Wes was able to attend all 3 sessions on Saturday at the Conference Center in Salt Lake City. He also met Elder Richard G Scott afterwards.
During the last session Sunday afternoon, we went for a drive thru Big Cottonwood Canyon as we listened to conference on the radio. The leaves are beginning to change for fall--what a nice drive!
