San Francisco trip

We had been toying with the idea of taking a trip up north to San Francisco for a while, but made the decision last Saturday night to go. We headed up Sunday morning and what a great time we had. We stopped by to visit our friends the Voges and since they gave Wes a lift ticket for Christmas we couldn't refuse the boys a trip to Sugar Bowl on Monday. I think they really enjoyed themselves. We also got to see Old Sacramento where Wes met up with some friends from a past EFY. We then headed onto San Francisco where I cringed as we had to cross a big bridge in Vallejo and the Bay Bridge, I'm not a fan! We made it though and we saw lots of cool things. We ate clam chowder in sourdough bowls at Boudin's on Fisherman's Wharf, enjoyed shopping oon Pier 39, watched street performers and tasted yummy chocolate at Ghiradelli Square. We saw the Golden Gate bridge (from afar--two bridges were enough for me). Wes met 2 time Super Bowl champion Jeff Barnes and wore his winning ring at the NFL shop. Chelsie pressed pennies everywhere we went, and here is Kelly beside a cable car. We saw the Oakland temple--so beautiful. We drove thru many areas surrounding San Francisco and saw lots of techie companies around. It's amazing how quickly it changes from big city to suburb and even rural areas. It was a quick trip but so glad Scott talked me into going. We've had alot weighing on our minds lately and I have a hard time putting that aside so we were able to incorporate some fun into the mix.

Looks like it was a fun trip.. . . Paul's a bit jealous. He actually has a pass to Sugar Bowl!
